Dissemination, Communication, and Outreach activities by the doctoral candidates
Dissemination activities
Dissemination is the process of making research results available to relevant stakeholders so they can be used for further research, innovation, or policy development. It often involves peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and online repositories. The focus is on accuracy and the scientific language appropriate for the target audience.

Communication activities
Communication broadly aims to increase public awareness and understanding of the project and its findings. It can involve various channels like mainstream media (newspapers, TV, radio), social media, and public events. Effective communication requires tailoring the message and language to the specific audience.

Co-organization of Regenerate-it Instagram profile (together with Bob Kauffmann)
– Share general information about DCs and projects with the general public
Outreach activities
Outreach is a targeted form of communication that involves direct engagement with specific groups, such as schools, community organizations, or the general public. Outreach activities can include workshops, public talks, lab visits, and other interactive events designed to explain research in an accessible and engaging way.
DC2: Kai Hofmänner
Outreach activities participation at
– Annual Science Fair (workshop)
– Journées Mer & Horizon (Photo exhibition)
– Conférence Mer & Horizon (Conference)
– Special Ocean Sience Fair in the context of the UNOC in Nice (Science fair)
The goal of these outreach activities is to highlight the extreme regenerative capacities of marine organisms, in particular Nematostella and those studied in the context of the Regenerate-IT network (including the potential transfer to mammalian systems) to the broader audience.
